Different instruments
Shares, debt, pooled funds, and derivatives carry different kinds of risk, including market moves, issuer failure, leverage, and complexity. The notes name those differences. They do not rank the instruments or suggest one of them.

A historical example, where one is used to define a term, is not a prediction. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.
